New BF3:Endgame clip discusses dropships, new maps

Battlefield 3‘s lead designer Niklas Fegraeus has used this new trailer to discuss the new maps that we’ll be seeing when their final DLC, Endgame drops (hopefully later this month). The dropship is also discussed, with Fegraeus explaining that the dropship can result in “surprise tanks”.

“This is basically a rapid deployment idea, which means that if you control the central base, you control a dropship which means that you can spawn inside an IUV dropping out of the dropship onto the battlefield through parachute. So you can get a surprise tank coming down from the sky to help your team, which is pretty cool.”

“The motorbike is the epi-tomb of that” – Wtf is an epi-tomb? Sounds like this guy is full of hyper-bowl.

Mmm, bikes look awesome though, hope my ping can keep up with all those fast-movers.

 

what’s the player levels been like on the expansions? lots of people? or crap like the BF2142 expansions?

Never had trouble finding a server with plenty of players. Particularly when a new expansion is released. Still plenty of players despite the game being over a year old. And hopefully should tie me over till BF4 in October.

 

Yeah i tried playing bf3 again without of the recent expansions…need the DLC for sure lol Everyone playing them

 

Release dates are as follows for all interested:

PS3 Premium members: March 5th
X360 and PC Premium members: March 12th
PS3 players: March 19th
X360 and PC players: March 26th

Would be great if it was classic CTF but i know its going to be the flag swapping newer CTF.

Classic CTF means you cannot cap the enemy flag without your flag being in its stand. newer CTF means you just need to get the enemy flag to your stand.
