GRID2′s latest trailer is all in-game footage and inspiring narration

Upcoming racer GRID2, which lands on May 30, has dropped a new trailer — part one in its ‘An American Dream’ series. Narrated by one Patrick Callahan, it explains how a new star is needed to help Patrick rejuvenate his racing team and… you know what? It’s all in-game footage. That’s what’s really to look at here. Nearly two minutes of solid in-game footage.

Word from the official press release accompanying the video is that you can grow your fanbase and earn “fame”, which is GRID2‘s version of XP, to give you access to new events, sponsors and cars and so on. “Codemasters has collaborated with ESPN,” writes the release, “to create exclusive in-game ESPN SportsCenter live-action video sequences that chart the rise of World Series Racing as it grows from a grass-roots curiosity to a headline-grabbing championship in the global sports market.”

I had a tonne of fun in the original Grid, but I’ve fallen out of love with Codemasters since. Pass.

Looking good to me, loved GRID.

no cockpit view = no sale from me, heaps of people have posted this on there twiter / facebook / steam forums and the developers just don’t care, they say “5%” of players use cockpit view and its not worth puting it in. well ill just wait till modders add it then torrent / pirate the game. FU code-disasters
