End Game DLC unlocks 8PM tonight for Battlefield 3 Premium members

That’s 8PM AEDT (Sydney/Melbourne time) of course. And, of course, EA and DICE have released this launch trailer, which reminds you exactly why you should be playing this final piece of Battlefield: namely, Capture the Flag on the back of motorcycles. Oh, and air superiority as well I guess. And dinosaur easter eggs! Okay there’s a lot of reasons, fine. Enjoy:

Haven’t played BF3 in yonks but this expansion actually looks fun.
Pity BF4 is coming out later this year and this will just gather dust.
Looking forward to this, especially Air Superiority!

All this needed was two maves of planes flying at each other and it was going to be a hit, so all the added stuff was just showing off :P
I think it is downloadable now as a update, it unlocks at 8pm.

This is weird… I haven’t downloaded it and it’s telling me BF3 is up to date…
There was a 6gig patch that was released about a week and a half ago, which contained the End Game content. If you’ve been running Origin since then, chances are it’s already down!

tbh I just play planetside now… if you want a wargame then planetside is far superior, if you want a shooter, then I would play bf3 before cod ;)
I think End Game is downloaded seperately like the last few expansions were.
That said, it should be up for download at 8pm NSW time (adjust as necessary).

i havent brought premium (only ltd edT) but i think when karkand was coming out it was patched a few days before. if that helps :P pity all the dlc costs as much as the game iself and divives people.. sigh.. great game tho, but havnt played in ages :(

For Aftermath the patch and dlc were seperate. Patch was about 4 days before, and DLC was only downloadable at release.
I am hoping I am wrong as I don’t have enough quota left to get the DLC until I reset at the end of the week otherwise.
id be all over this sh1t if the game was stable on my pc , still crashes every 5 mins, wasted many nights trying to work it out , nothing works , only game ive had any trouble whatsoever with….
For anyone who wants to preload the expansion patch (it’s 4,205.3 MB) you can search for an End Game server and attempt to connect. That will force your client to realise it doesn’t have the content and prompt you to download the patch.
Pretty much. I tried getting back into BF3 but after Planetside 2 BF3′s absurd amount of cover, turning every infantry fight into spammy nonsense just didn’t hold me for very long.
I’ve gotten too used to open terrain and being able to flank the enemy to go back to not knowing where they might be coming from.
Back to Planetside 2!

That one didn’t work for me, relaunched origin, the whole bit, still can’t get it to update.
I really am a sucker for punishment when it comes to EA’s bullshit. This should have downloaded while I was at work today automatically.

have you tried updating your gfx card bios? (not your cpu bios)
i had trouble with my gtx560ti with constant crashes. i updated it and it worked like a charm. can play it for hours without a fault

One of my friends is getting the speeds you were who I want to play it with… so it’s going to be 3 hours till he has it still…..

Just had to try and connect to any server and Origin automatically started downloading End Game.
Perhaps if some of you aren’t getting it downloading, are you BF3 Premium?
What the hell EA, my Origin client says its not available until 7:15pm QLD time. WTF!!!
Starting the expansion now, 14 hours to download at 100kb, absolute BS EA. If this is the expansion what the hell was in the 6GB patch last week???

The 6gig patch was to address gameplay bugs and issues apparently… Sounds like a a bunch of the maps had to be re-downloaded bulking out the patch.
..apparently EA also believe we have unlimited bandwidth and decent internet connections Australia wide…
Honestly I’d like to think that they’d actually treat us as ‘Premium’ folk and allow us to pre-load the add-ons before they go live, rather than having to wait until it goes live then have everyone hammer the servers…maybe I’m just being too demanding…
In the end though I do prefer this Premium bizzo over this ‘season pass’ crap where you still have to pay for each piece of DLC..WTF!!
Well……… that got boring quick.
The new CTF mode is OK, makes for a different play style. Like the rest of the modes though, will get boring VERY fast. The new maps also seem a bit “meh”. Almost as if your playing the exact same map from just different angles.
24 hours on and I’m still downloading this damn expansion. 89% and 6 hours to go. Either EA have not catered for the number of downloads or they are just giving Australians the middle finger. Its a bloody joke.
