Australia has worst snipers in the world, according to Hitman: Absolution stats

Hitman: Absolution

By on March 14, 2013 at 3:18 pm

Shame on you, Australia. Shame, shame, shame. Stats released by I/O Interactive gathered from Hitman: Absolution have Australia at the very bottom of the sniper kill lists, coming in at a pitiful 27 kills average. Disgusting! Even our former colonial masters in England are doing better than that!

Some other, less sordid stats revealed in the infographic indicate that over 1.3 trillion dollars have been earned through assassination contracts, and that the most popular disguise is the outside estate guard — and that breaking the necks of your targets with your bare hands is overwhelmingly the most popular solution.

It actually says that’s 27 kills/user. So Australians are just the least into using snipers. Que ‘This is a knife’ jokes.

Hah! You’re right. Edited.

Haha yeah – people just don’t understand us and our knives.

It’s harder to skin a croc for me new boots with a peashooter, mate!

Haha, exactly. This entire article should really be “Australians are continuing their Historical reputation of being Shock/Assault troopers, not bothering with standoff weaponry”

from wikipedia,

In WW1, “the Australian and Canadian divisions deployed amongst British forces in France quickly came to be regarded as the best shock troops in the Allied ranks due to their ferocity in battle, and were employed accordingly”

So, all shame goes to Canada for moving into the middle of the pack, the wusses :D

Well lets face it.. back in those days Aussies were bred tough, the country was trying to kill us in every way and it just made that generation tough as nails.

You won’t see ANY of the current generation surviving two world wars and reach 100-110 like some of the ww1 vet’s.

It actually makes me quite proud that we were (and still are, just look at our current SAS) feared in battle.

Yeah find the stat where Australian’s are best cause we like our fighting close and personal :)

I think this has a lot to do with were the servers are based and internet speeds. Sniping is a precision art and requires a steady hand and split second timing. With such high pings here those extra few milliseconds can really mess with your game.

Playing in America is just so much more responsive. I played WoW and COD:MW2 a while back and it was just insane, I had a ping of 7! Needless to say in a lot of those matches I got accused of hacking also despite the fact that I was also using a computer I was unfamiliar with.

Here? I regularly have a ping of 50-100ms and you can really tell the difference. With sniping it’s the difference between a headshot and a miss compared to single digit or teen pings.

Don’t even get me started on overseas servers and MMORPGs… uhhh… frustrating.

gmcleod,

FFS. Que is Spanish and Portuegese for ‘what‽’ and is has nothing to do with queue. How can no one on the internet spell something as simple as ‘queue’ (and this is coming from someone whose spelling is AWFUL)?

On topic: who cares about sniper stats in Hitman when we win at what is important: number one in zombie virus eradication in Dead Nation.

Seriously, which skill is more important…

i hate sniping personally and more into run and gun, usually why playing dod:s i end up with negative k:D ratio but a decent amount of flag caps.

*BOOM*! …. upper torso shot, maybe the shoulder.

PinothyJ,

Heh. At the time I didn’t feel like double checking how to spell queue.
