Yet another Crysis 3 trailer shows you Prophet shooting things to death

The sixth episode of the 7 Wonders of Crysis 3 videos came out yesterday, entitled “The End of Days”. In this one, Prophet really breaks the mold and shoots some things.

Really, as we approach the launch of Crysis 3 on the 21st of this month, the trailers are not getting any more imaginative. Prophet uses stealth and/or a bow and/or a gun to take out various bad guys doing things that Prophet doesn’t want them to do.

They’re nice trailers. Everything is super pretty. They just… do not spark my imagination. Maybe you disagree with me? Watch it below and let us know. Do you agree? Or could you definitely stand to see a few more?

Have to say, I’m looking forward to the game, and am quite hopeful (rather than my usual fearful) that it’ll be a good game.

It’s really just more of the same stuff we’ve seen in the past two games, just a little bit prettier.

After Crysis 2, I don’t have very high expectations for this one…

stop the video’s already, we all know its coming out soon lol i’ll be waiting for reviews before i pick it up :D hopefully!!! it recaptures what the first crysis did…but i doubt it :(

Well hey as long as the campaign is better than Crysis 2 I’m sure it will be a averagely good game, That and at least it will be a good benchmark for my system or so they’re claiming.

frostysonic,

It uses the same engine as Crysis 2 doesn’t it?

If it were a PC exclusive it’d be called a standalone expansion like Warhead was.

But Crytek sold out by jumping on the CoD sales model of releasing numbered games ASAP.

Hopefully Crytek listened to the complaints about the restricted sandbox battle areas of Crysis 2 compared to the openness of Crysis 1.
Judging from that latest vid it almost looked like a massive open water clogged area with islands of ruined buildings over run with vegatation. Maybe Crytek have gone for a mix of both games in sense of visuals and gameplay areas.

Holy shitballs this looks amazing. I’ll be picking it up for sure. Visuals look insane!

Releasing sequels is now “jumping on the CoD bandwagon”? Is there anything that developers can do which ISN’T jumping on the CoD bandwagon? Of course the fact that Crysis 2 took 4 years to develop wouldn’t have entered your train of thought, or the fact that we weren’t building an engine from scratch with Crysis 3, hence the 2 year development time.

But no, it’s not the ‘same’ engine that C2 was made on, the engine is under constant iteration and has bucket loads more tech for C3. Though, it is “CryENGINE 3″ but I guess if we called it “CryENGINE 4″ then we’d just be increasing numbers to be on the [insert] bandwagon, so we try and avoid that.

yeah j-me is a cod hating noob. the game looks incredible. cant wait to play it. i just hope it utilises origins cloud saves, i never finished crysis 2 cause i always seemed to be starting from the beginning.

and i cant say much about gon’s player, other than its rubbish, it stuttered all the way through, and does so on multiple machines of mine in totally different configurations and isps.

They just embed the Youtube player, it’s the GON website which makes all video’s stutter (for me) – on any website/tab, if the GON website is open in another tab..

Just start playing the embedded video above, click on the word “Youtube” in the bottom right corner to open the video in it’s own tab – and then close the GON website – bam no stuttering..

I dunno, some bad active HTML code on the site..

I also get the pauses, bout every 5 seconds or so it jams up for a second.

Quick question on the multiplayer, dedicated servers or P2P for PC?

Shoot ‘em up shoot ‘em up, POW POW…

There’s a way around the pausing, when the video loads click the youtube icon on the video then close the games.on.net tab/window, then the pausing will cease. if the GON website is still open, then it doesn’t matter what website you have open, youtube videos will pause every 5 seconds.

that looks so scripted !

What would be nice is to play exactly how they depict it in this video; no HUD at all.
I’m a sceptic of the final product, the single player seems to have taken a step in the right direction (to be more open and ‘sandboxy’), but the multiplayer experience that I’ve had so far seems to be a carbon copy of crysis 2. Hunter mode doesn’t revolutionise it, it’s still small map infantry only combat.
