Warner Brothers Interactive has revealed plans to release a new Batman title. Details are currently scarce (bordering on non-existent) but Chief Financial Officer John Martin has confirmed that the publisher is aiming to bring “the next release in the Batman Arkham franchise” to market in 2013. His choice of words confirms that this won’t be a family friendly offering in the manner of Batman: The Brave and the Bold, but rather a continuation of Batman: Arkham Asylum and its equally brutal sequel.
The one cloud on the horizon for Bat fans is the possibility that series creator Rocksteady Studios won’t be behind the wheel this time around. Citing unnamed sources, VG247 is reporting that Warner has assigned the project to a different developer.
Given that both Arkham titles were released on PC, it feels safe to assume that the third instalment will follow suit.

Whyyy would you take it away from the company that nailed it twice in a row?
Looking forward to this Silver age iteration, hoping for some Adam West easter eggs :P
I’m with Novocaine for the moment, depending who gets it if not Rocksteady, but they’re going to have massive shoes to fill!
give it to rocksteady for fucks sake!!! they’ve pulled of brilliance twice, why would you do that!! I guess another company could pull it off, but they’d have to take a lot of inspiration from what rocksteady did…
Doesn’t warner like money?
unless rocksteady dont want to make it….
Of course, take it away from the company that did it right. Make perfect business sense.
#facepalm
I thought that Rocksteady had stated previously that they didn’t want to do a 3rd one.
arent rocksteady doing a game that involves batman, superman, wonder women, green lantern etc? heres the article

Maybe WB wants a direct batman sequel, which rocksteady apparently isn’t doing lol
Rocksteady are apparently working on on a 1950s prequel…
Hey WB, I know! Make it a FPS! That’ll work!
Shhhh .. don’t give them ideas ….
