THQ is apparently expect “a vigorous sale” when it comes to picking up the last few remaining titles and franchises still in the hands on the now-defunct publisher. Darksiders, Red Faction and Homeworld are just some of the IPs up for grabs in an upcoming auction due to start April 15.

Six distinct packages are to be offered: a Red Faction package with rights to all the games therein, a Darksiders package, a Homeworld package, an MX package, an ‘Internal Titles’ package (de Blog, Destroy All Humans! and so on) and a ‘Licensed Titles’ package (which, as you may expect, contains licensed titles such as Costume Quest, Let’s Ride and Jeopardy).

More than 100 expressions of interest have apparently already been received.

Last month, THQ sold off all its major studios, including delivering Relic to SEGA, Volition to Koch Media Group, and THQ Montreal to Ubisoft.

Team pixel got nowhere near their 50k goal for homeworld.

Can’t say I’m surprised, after my initial excitement about it, I sure as hell wasn’t going to give them money to make ihomeworld…

relaxedpossum,

Looking at that funding page:-

This campaign received all of the funds contributed by Wed 06 Feb.

Straight up fraud IMO, I doubt they will ever return the money

Its embarasing even pretending they’ll participate at the auction. With 13.5K, even I (a poor uni student) could rustle up more funds (from personal bank loans etc) and outbid them

Yes, good news TP didn’t raise the money they needed! Here’s hoping that other mob, that had some of the original devs, may decide to looking into securing the rights.

Tim – WTF dude, how does Homeworld not even rate a mention in your headline? What the hell is Darksiders anyway? ;)

Homeworld was mentioned though. :S

NOOOOOOO! Darksiders was only EVER a two game series! Do not AssCreed this decent IP!

I hate everything right about now…

PinothyJ,

4 Horsemen. That is all.
