Well, this is a bit odd. Kerebos has announced and immediately released Sword of the Stars: The Pit. It’s a dungeon crawler set in the Sword of the Stars universe, heretofore home only to 4X strategy games. It’s described as a “fun, fast, light-hearted” rogue-like with turn-based gameplay. How about that.

The game is exclusive to GamersGate, but is DRM free and comes at a 10% discount on the USD $9.99 cover price during launch week. Not convinced? There’s a six level demo to whet your appetite.
