Team Fortress 2′s Heavy, Spy and Pyro to star in Sonic & All-Stars Racing

Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed

It wasn’t too long ago that the idea of Sonic the Hedgehog appearing on your PC was… well, it was a joke. “As if that could ever happen!” we snorted, laughing at the very idea. Now Sonic’s not only already come to PC a number of times, but he’s back again with a new racing game and he’s dragging TF2 characters along with him.

Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, which launches on January 31st on Steam, will feature the Pyro, Heavy and Spy from TF2. As well as this, the game will feature “the legendary Shogun” from Shogun: Total War and “the enigmatic Manager Man” from the Football Manager series.

There you go! That… sounds kinda cool, to be honest.

The voices are different. When you’ve played TF2 for ages, having the voices be a weird imitation is just so hard to deal with. :(

Also, FOOTBALL MANAGER is a character, talk about scraping the barrel :|

After seeing the video on the steam client, I can say, in all honestly, UGH.

It’s .. just .. UGH ..

Whilst I agree that the Football Manager is somewhat stupid, if you take in effect the sheer number of sales this franchise has .. it makes sense to tie it in. It’s not about what I (or you) love in gaming, any tie-in is about the numbers. And there’s a lot of numbers in that game.

I wonder if this applies to regular old Sonic & All Stars Racing.

is this for sonic and all stars racing transformed?

Yes, this is the Transformed version, not the older Sonic and Sega All-Stars (the newer version dropped ‘Sega’ in the title.

Whilst I own both games and love em to bits, some of the characters really don’t make any sense for a Sega karting game… Danica Patrick? I mean c’mon? They put her in and not Wonderboy.

That is possibly the worst game trailer i have ever seen.

The trailer for Wreck it Ralph’s voice was also horrible. Why don’t they get the proper voices in sheesh. TF2 particularly has no excuse given the number of times the voices have come back for the various extra stuff Valve has done with the characters.
