Giant alien bugs, robots and explosions the order of the day in this new Defiance video

Defiance is an odd beast: it’s a tie-in MMO to the upcoming TV series of the same name, and it’s supposed to — in some nebulous fashion which hasn’t been quite explained — affect the outcome of the TV show. It certainly looks pretty epic however, as this latest ‘massive co-op’ trailer shows, with dozens (or hundreds?) of players swarming around, shooting at aliens, and generally kicking bug-butt. Take a look.

Defiance‘s beta begins on January 18.

I somehow doubt the TV show is going to look like that lol.

Reminds me of the early early concept shots for Tabula Rasa

Got my beta invite the other day, looking forward to the stress test today :D

Reminds me of Borderlands…

The TV show has the effects guy that worked on BSG, alot of BSG staff and Farscape staff are working on this actually.
