We’ve just added the free, open-source indie roguelike Tales of Maj’Eyal (affectionately known as TOME) to our file mirror so that you, too, can enjoy the fun of staying alive and questing through randomly-generated dungeons, slaying undead, and running away from trolls. As an added bonus, the whole system is open and ready for modules, which means that if you really like it, you can go ahead and start making it your own.
Download the Windows client from here (Linux and Mac clients also available).

I spent quite a bit of time at the end of last year playing this, a really good, modern roguelike. Very different to the traditional stuff – has a simple, mouse driven interface, skill hotbars, something vaguely resembling animation, and lots of interesting classes.
Open source, cross platform AND from all accounts a good game? An extremely rare combination, so thanks!
It is also sitting in the Steam Greenlight waiting for enough votes. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=93674769
