Download Australia (and other countries) as 1:1500 scale Minecraft maps

Minecraft Australia

Ever wanted to run around in a 1:1500 scale version of Australia, as rendered in Minecraft? Well, your desires are soon to be fulfilled as a person named lentebriesje is working on a 1:1500 scale version of planet Earth, and has already knocked off Australia from the list along with Europe, North America and South America.

The Australia map, which you can download and see renders of here, includes deserts, different types of forests, as well as custom tree designs. A list with coordinates has been created to help you find (or teleport to) where your hometown would be.

Lentebriesje warns that the map is best used in creative mode, as “underground everything is stone”. You are warned!

Cool, but I don;t think my house is in it… And the link suggests 1:1500 scale

Oh you’re very right, I am missing a ’1′ there

I think I found Adelaide.

I think I found Adelaide.

Still looks like a hole…

nirvesta,

Of all the cities in Australia, Adelaide is the least holey of them (not to be confused with holy, of which it is the most)…

Townsville:
x=13151
y=167
z=1766
Magnetic island stands out >_<

Adelaide would be 100x better if they fixed the road infrastructure.

I think the little inlet at the left of the body of water might be the Torrens mouth at West Beach. The river is literally ~8 blocks of water, only 5 of which are inland.
