If you wander over to the ‘Demos’ section of your the store in your Origin client, you’ll find a nice surprise waiting for you: the Crysis 3 beta.

It’s a 3.3 GB download, so fire it up once you get it and hop onto our very own games.on.net Crysis 3 servers, running both Hunter Mode and Crash Site games for your pleasure.

See you in game!

There’s no NDA on the beta either so feel free to post screenshots and videos, talk about it or even livestream it if you so desire.

EDIT: Also, AMD have dropped a new beta driver for the Crysis 3 beta as well.

And the first thing I did after reading the heading was to goto the GON file server download section :P

Serves me right for skimming!

Looking forward to trying this open beta out! Thanks for the heads up~

Hi there,
On the PC I am unable to find any GamesOnNet servers, let alone any servers below a ping of 200, as any over that are from NA. Is there any chance there will be any Australian/New Zealand based servers for the beta, or atleast for the full build of the game. Thanks and happy fragging everyone!

popman125,

Appologies, I noticed there are a couple GameArena servers from AU however they are still of a ping >200, ~206 give or take…

the pings aren’t being displayed correctly in the server browser, the ingame scoreboard ping is correct; and the gon servers will be up soon

Do you guy’s even have the demo DL on this site?

no i dont think they released a stand alone installer you have to download it through origin

Is this the same Multiplayer beta as last year?

i think that was a mp alpha, this is a beta, its a bit more polished, 2 game modes and 2 maps, plus other fixed and general performance increases.

‘No DX9/DX10 cards, DX11 only’

Well… this is a multiplatform release, so good on them for making the PC version the ‘superior version’. Guess I’ll be getting it on my x360 then.

(Referencing DS3 whinging)

rapid101,

Really you don’t have a DX11 supported graphics card? They’ve been around for a loooong time if you don’t have a DX11 supported GPU you shouldn’t be playing Crysis 3

DX11 cards have been around since the Radeon HD 5800 and the GT300 series, You can buy a HD5850 for around $60 used.

Origin only? Bleh, pass.
