Borderlands 2 Gear Up Weekend tempts you back to Pandora

borderlands2

What are you up to this fine Sunday, my lad and/or ladette and/or ladeloo? Well, cancel it, and fire up Borderlands 2 again, because there is some sweet gear on offer in a special weekend event. To get you prepared for Tuesday’s launch of new DLC, Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt, Gearbox has ramped up the drop rate of a number of special items.

At the moment, you can pick up a bunch of rare grenade mods, but assuming you have some free time on Monday, or just never sleep you can check back in after 4:00AM AEST for a new kind of rare drop. What will that rare drop be? No idea; visit Gearbox’s homepage at about dawn tomorrow to find out, then get in an hour or two before the commitments of the week.

To participate, you just have to be connected to the Internet while you play. Easy done. Grenades for everyone!

Excellent even with the Vault Hunter mod I find it near impossible to get good loot to drop :)

All that was dropping for me where a lot of useless shotguns.

But still cant wait till this expansion.

I noticed a difference I was getting so much Iridium drop it was ridiculous I got far more Iridium than previous play sessions. I think I got about 40 Iridium over two days 25 of which from one area I spent alot of time in last night (Tundra something).
