The overhauled version of the iconic RPG — from developer Overhaul Games, no less — is now available to purchase on Steam for $19.99.

Purchasers of the Enhanced Edition receive a new adventure, ‘The Black Pits’, as well as three new characters: Dorn Il-Khan, Rasaad yn Bashir and Neera the Wild Mage.

Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition can also be purchased directly from the publishers at Beamdog, or on iOS.

Thats a bit rich for what it is.. will put that on the back burner until it goes on sale I think.

I’ve never actually played the Baldur’s Gate games, how much time/value would you get out of this for $19? I’ll add it to my wish list :)

It’s definitely a great experience, and you can spend a lot of hours in that game but.. it is an old game, I don’t pay much more than that for brand new games so I’m definitely not paying it for one thats 15 years old. I’ll pick it up if it drops under $10 :)

Originally this wasn’t even going to appear on Steam.

Yea. I’ll wait for a 75% off at least. It’s not worth more than $5 to me. Having played it to death in the past, the “additions” can only offer so much.

I was really disappointed when I learned that the ‘remake’ wasn’t going to be a graphic overhall and essentially in my books this is just an attempt at some easy moneymakings off of a great old game. I too wouldn’t even consider this unless it was $5 or less.

I don’t care what anyone says…

This is Baldur’s Gate

This is now on Steam

This is now the 4th time I have bought BG

Deal with it.
