Amazon lists a PC version of Grand Theft Auto V, everybody is very excited

GTA V

Hold your horses, my friends: there’s very little to know here and all of it highly likely to change. But for now, we know that Amazon France has listed GTA V for Windows, citing support for XP through 7.

So is it just a mistaken listing, or is the site leaking stuff it shouldn’t again? Amazon France has a history of leaking all sorts of delightful things up to and including the existence of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, so you can never really know.

As we speak, the GTA V on PC Petition is now at 143,642 supporters, edging ever so closer to 150,000. Fingers crossed, everybody!

I dont like the French very much, this might change my mind however :D (as long as its true)

Spose I should sign that petition.

i would…but feels weird putting my full name down

Call me negative but im not sure GTA V would be a solid PC game/port anyway. If it comes out and is solid then id be both suprised and excited.

Didn’t all this uproar start because there was some box art with console logos on it? It seems like everyone just cried witch.

No, the uproar started because GTA V was announced for PS3 and Xbox.

Rockstar were non-commital when it came to PC (and Wii):

If they do a proper port of it (unlike GTA IV) it could be awsome. My PC can run GTA IV even with a few mods, but i’d still call it very unoptimised (even without the mods) considering my pc runs games a lot more advanced games than it lol.

I hope this is true though! with a proper port and the current PC hardware this game will be amazing!! :D

This means nothing.

EB Games listed a PC version of it when it was first announced well over a year ago, then quietly took it down.

Since when has Amazon been a reliable source of information? I remember them giving several different release dates for DNF over the 12 year period of its existence for example. You’d receive more accurate information if you asked your magic 8-ball.

I didn’t rush out to play GTA IV on PC when it first came out, but by the time I did grab it, it always ran on my PC fine. Throw on the ICEnhancer mod and it’s a gorgeous piece of technology. Hopefully the rumours are true, would love to see GTA V on PC.

vcatkiller,

Yes. No. Maybe…
