THQ have just sent word that a new trailer showing off the multiplayer action – AKA “the bit that most people seem to care about” – of Company of Heroes 2 is now available. This one’s all gameplay footage, too, so strap in and enjoy some explosions, tank treads, and screaming infantry.

If you’d like, you can download the trailer in HD from our file library!

Hmm…so is everyone going to control one squad of units now? :/ Or is the trailer just for show.

darknode,

The trailer is showing a few units and special moments, ie, dropping a tank in an iced over lake.

The game sticks quite closely to CoH 1 with base building. It is not the departure that DoW 2 was.

looks good, COH was great game, lets hope they have fixed the multiplayer issues of teh first one, bad lag and NAT issues with lots of players. need to take some lessons from blizzard, starcraft 2 ive never had a laggy game, flawless multiplayer.

must have game, cant wait

I really wish I could get into RTS’s. I have tried so hard with COH1 plus add ons and just completely suck. Some of the best fun I have ever had at a LAN was COH1.

What about 2v2v2? :(

The graphics look about the same as the 2006 original, although that still looks decent on max settings.

Gameplay wise; without the winter aspect, line of sight and vaulting it doesn’t seem much different to the Eastern Front mod.

Was anyone else hoping for something more after six years?

exe3,

Unfortunately COH is only “Allies” vs “Axis”. No support for multiple teams or free for all.
