Valve registers three mystery film-related domain names

Team Fortress 2

By on December 6, 2012 at 1:34 pm

What do you think Valve would be doing with FreeToPlayTheMovie.com? What about AheadOfTheGameMovie.com? Or AheadOfTheGameTheMovie.com? Well, those last two are pretty similar, it’s true. But anyway, keen-eyed Redditors have spotted that Chris Grinstead, IT Manager at Valve, quietly registered the three domains back in August.

Current speculation is, naturally, that Valve are producing a documentary about the success of their free-to-play titles, namely Team Fortress 2 and DOTA 2. But that doesn’t really explain “Ahead Of The Game”. Still F2P, or something more corporate perhaps, about Valve itself?

That is, unfortunately, all there is to tell — feel free to put on your own speculatin’ hat in our comments section.
