Nuketown Zombies map released for Black Ops 2 on Xbox, PC and PS3 to follow

Activision have announced the release of the Nuketown map for use in the Zombies mode of the annual triggerfest that is this year’s Call of Duty. The map sees you visiting beautiful Nuketown which is — stop me if you’ve heard this one before — overrun by the undead. Anyway, take a look at the trailer! Which is here.

Nuketown is only available to holders of the Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Season Pass, which costs a hefty $70 (and that’s at $10 off). The Season Pass grants access to Nuketown as well as “four epic DLC map packs”.

What’s zombie mode all about? Take a look in our review.

Wait a second… Wasn’t this a pre-order bonus for BO2? I’ve had it for a while now…

holybumble,

No, they really made it confusing with the bonuses. If you pre-ordered then you got the updated Nuketown map, which is only for normal multiplayer, but only the season pass holders get the “Nuketown map with zombies”, which is an entirely different map for the zombie mode apparently.

Sad part is in regards to maps… All the Call of Duty’s run the same engine, so it would be absolutely trivial just to copy and paste every single Call of Duty map into each new iteration, but they don’t, makes them a ton of money!

eggheart,

I got the digital deluxe edition, which came with:
Call of Duty: Black Ops II Nuketown Zombies Bonus Map Nuketown 2025 Bonus Map Weapon Camo 2 Player Card Backgrounds
Official Call of Duty: Black Ops II Soundtrack
Call of Duty®: World at War Game Download Token

I am very confused, as I definitely do have the map. You can see it in the digital deluxe here: http://store.steampowered.com/app/202970/

holybumble,

Yes, you definitely do have the map, it’s included in the digital deluxe edition. Just in your first comment you said you thought it came with pre-orders of BLOPS2, which it does not, only the digital deluxe version which costs more.

So buy the game now = no extras.
Pre-ordered = Nuketown.
Digital Deluxe = Nuketown + Nuketown Zombies.

eggheart,

I apologize greatly! I thought that the pre-order and digital deluxe were the same thing.
