Hawken is now in open beta, why are you still reading this

When we took a look at Hawken, our major complaint was that its lack of Australian servers meant that nobody could reliably enjoy a game.
And then they went and added Australian servers! Just like that! Now that closed beta is finished and open beta is go, there’s no reason left for you to not be playing. Head on over to the official site now.

Downloading it , its been taking ages due to the poor p2p downloading client
Really wished they used an full offline complete client we could get off FTP or HTTP instead of the latest trend of clients that use home computer connections to upload/download files using p2p.
Its about 2 gig by the looks of things. Will look into what ini/setting to disable automatic uploading of data from the client to seed to others. GRO Client did the same thing
Going to give it a go. With Aussie servers it already beats MWO and even the MW:LL mod for Crysis as most of those servers are overseas, and any local ones you find are usually empty.

Freaking awesome it has an AU/NZ region setting but
WHY HAS IT GOT CRAPPY MATCH MAKING
Its very hit or miss if you actually get into a game after your first intial game
I had to reload twice to get into the second game.
TDM is very fun , Flag assault seems to be a lot harder
Game needs to add:
Clan/Guild System
Party friends system
Custom Game settings
Server Browser
Eh, played two tdm matches just then, wasn’t that fun. Maybe just being low level sucks.
lolz I love cable, downloaded in about 5 minutes.
Damn, none of the mechs can take a hit.
