FORGE launches, receives launch trailer, trailer is watched by GON regulars

Below, we have the launch trailer for FORGE, featuring a metric buttload of gameplay. As a launch trailer would suggest, the game is now available on Steam, as well as through other digital outlets including Amazon, Gamers Gate and the game’s official website.

All these sites, it should be noted, are participating in the buy-one-get-one-free deal, where you can purchase your first copy for the retail price of $20, and receive another copy to give to a friend. For an entirely PvP experience, this seems like a clever move.

Check out the launch trailer below, and tell us what you think. Will you be picking FORGE up?

I got the free copy from a friend yesterday morning. I played it for a little bit.

So far, not all the features have been implemented yet(server browser) but they have a lot of things upcoming.

The camouflage ability on the pathfinder I played didn’t work, it just went on cooldown. It doesn’t seem like many people know how to play so it’s pretty easy just to jump in and play around

It seems like it has potential.

Won’t be picking this up. It’s too reminiscent of FURY by Auran games.
We all know how that pure PVP game ended up.

hah!! fooled you, i didnt watch the trailer

:)

Reminds me of fury.
Pitty that died.

I was also thinking of Fury.

i really enjoyed while it lived. I think i remember seeing some trailers for this on GON during development and it looked fairly good. Considering going the double with a friend.

Gameplay looks fast which is good fun as long as spam doesn’t dominate.

Then you look at MOBAs which are essentially team pvp games as well. How do they differ? Was Fury too simplistic or did it fail because of another reason?
