Battlefield 3′s ‘End Game’ DLC will bring back Capture the Flag mode

Battlefield 3 Endgame

Some scant details about the upcoming and final Battlefield 3 DLC, ‘End Game’, have now been revealed. CVG is reporting that the DLC will feature the return of Capture the Flag mode as well as the game’s “most high-speed warfare to date across four vast maps”.

Key features are listed as four new maps “designed for high speed combat and action”, three new vehicles including dirt bikes, and a new dropship designed to “provide support to ground troops with vehicle drop capabilities”.

The new dropship is said to “introduce the ability to turn the tide with rapid deployment air drops of troop transports”.

Loved playing BF2 CTF mod back in the day.

Can’t wait!

Looks pretty mad.

Gotta be honest. $50 for these well fleshed out releases has been pretty damn good. Would premium again.

Battlefield 1942 (& Codename Eagle) had capture the flag, which was the best mode for LANs because it encouraged teamwork and focused the action on big maps.

Downside was the base rape since the flags were in the middle of the mains.

Not sure what DICE is calling a “dropship” (sci-fi term) but in the Desert Combat mod for 1942 we used to load up an entire team in the back of the AC-130 and paradrop over the enemy flag. Maybe the “dropship” in End Game is a normal C-130 Hercules.

Haven’t played for a month or two, I have premium but can’t see myself ever going back to this broken game. Its just not worth the frustration.

jerichosainte,

How is it broken? Broken or do you just not enjoy it?

Now if only they would get rid of the inbuilt wall hack that is 3D spotting it would bring back fun to the game…

They had it in BF2 as well (but only the Commander could spot for you). Nought wrong with it imo!
