Firaxis is currently aware and researching this issue. We got a couple save files (thanks to you guys) on Oct 22nd that they’re looking at. I’ll let you guys know as soon as I hear anything about it.”

Easy easier?

I’m honestly not great at XCOM, I never finished the first 2 above the middle-ish difficulties, but I was honestly expecting the game to be harder, I had no issues on Classic.

I think I may have had a freakishly easy run though, never had any satellites shot down and somehow got away with no Chryssalid terror missions until my squad was amazingly awesome.

I really hope they add a bit more depth to the strategic layer soon, and WAY more tech as labs are borderline useless.

Yeah i think you just had a freakishly easy run :) I have no trouble clocking the original on superhuman or whatever the highest is, but classic can be pretty nasty especially on ironman since you can nolonger deploy recruits enmasse *cough*redshirts*cough*. My hangers must have been very ‘enemy at the gates’ in the original :) “here is your armour, and weapons of doom. Next! here is your flare. Next!”

Ditto on more content, it really feels like a barebones framework at present. Civ4 (and im assuming 5, havent gone back to it) had the exact same feeling, and didnt feel like an entire game until after all the expansions were added, so I guess this is just Firaxis’s MO for now :(
