Mirror's Edge

When EA claimed that DICE “wasn’t just a Battlefield factory“, many of us immediately hoped that they meant that Mirror’s Edge 2 was in development. Well, it looks like it is.

Former Battlefield series executive producer Ben Cousins, who is fairly familiar with Stockholm’s gaming scene and with DICE, reacted to the news by claiming that “It is general knowledge in the Stockholm dev scene that Mirror’s Edge 2 is in production at DICE.”

In May this year, “Mirror’s Edge 2″ turned up on more than a few ex-DICE employee resumes, before being hastily deleted. While EA is yet to make an official announcement, all signs point to any announcement surely not being too far off.

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!

people liked mirrors edge ? I HATED the first person platforming possibly because I sucked at it but still was far too frustrating trying to time everything right

never got into it properly, but everyone i know that did loved it. I should give it another go!

It was a game that was good at what it was good at and woeful at what it was not.

Combat and story come to mind the latter…

It was great, but got crap half way through when they decided to make all the levels in cramped indoor areas.

*does the happy dance* ^_^ Still technically not a confirmation but that’s not going to stop me from needlessly getting my hopes up! ^_^

Hopefully this time they keep in the monologue’s that apparently gave the story and world far greater context.

pinothyj,

You’re 100% correct, but also, DICE knows where they screwed up, they’ve even said it, so here’s hoping (assuming they have at least 1/4 of a brain) that they figure out how to fix it all.
