I’ve been in one of those stupidly lazy moods lately, and playing this to just kill the hours. It’s great for that. The total lack of mid-low range vehicles makes progression spectacularly difficult though, as any kind of upgrade costs a freaking fortune. The lack of any kind of truely dynamic economy also hurts the game, with any field you don’t own being totally barren (why can’t there be AI farmers?), and the prices of most goods are basically static.

My biggest pet peeve is the treatment of animals in the game though. You can’t breed them, you can’t turn over fields for pasture, or fence in areas to graze your livestock. Worst of all, there are no godamn pigs. Seriously, I started playing the game to be a pig farmer, WHERE ARE MY GODAMN PIGS.
