Gearbox Software and 2K have detailed Borderlands 2′s next major DLC expansion, Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage. The combat-focused pack is described as similar to Mad Moxxi’s from the first Borderlands, in that players will compete in a tournament at the Badass Crater of Badassitude, which surrounds a newly-discovered vault.
The pack visits a new environment with variant enemies such as Bikers instead of Marauders. IGN reports it includes a number of bosses, such as Pyro Pete, Motor Mama and Badassaurus Rex (a “big crazy Torgue-themed robotic dinosaur breathing fire”).
Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage is due on November 20, and is priced at USD$9.99 – we’ll have local pricing for you when possible.

US$15.95 on Steam for Aussies. Calling it now.
They need to up the cap. I am not enthused until the cap is raised. Which is a shame, cos man I love Bl2
Surprised it hasn’t happened yet to be honest. I’d love to see how powerful my character can get.
At this point you’d be crazy not to save money by purchasing the season pass.
Arena DLC.. Sigh.
Never actually finished the last DLC. Just something about BL2 that isn’t grabbing me like the first one did.
Starting to think we aren’t going to see a level cap increase until after all 4 “season pass” dlc’s are out of the picture, and the ones after that to be more expensive.
Don’t get me wrong, i liked the first one, it was a little short though and alot of the hugeness of the new area was empty (justified by the hovercraft, clever)
I won’t have much of an issue if the ones after the 4 season pass dlc’s are $29 bucks or so, i would however want to see at least 20 hours of game for a proper expansion.
This
and this
Confused. Do people play games to have fun or to get higher numbers?
You’re referring to people wanting a higher level cap right? You do realise part of the fun with these sorts of games (anything involving XP) is to develop and grow the character right? I could elaborate more but If you can’t see that then there’s no point explaining.
Probably. I just don’t see the difference between having a lvl1 character who’s gun does 10 damage against enemies with 50 health and a lvl50 character who’s gun does 10000 damage against enemies with 50000 health. Yeah it’s a simplistic way to look at it but I don’t think it’s *that* far from the truth.
Unless you’re developing in a more meaningful way that defines what a character can or cannot do (like what skilltree to spec into though I find there to be little difference in the different trees in Borderlands 2) it’s just superficial, irrelevant, and pointless.
Well, more levels = more skill points, which means more ways to combine stuff from the different trees, and i have to disagree with you, the difference between trees in the siren and mechromancer (only ones i have max leveled sofar) makes them play in completely different ways.
And i can only see more fun in combining them in different ways (i am looking forward to 10 more points for my mechromancer very much, as i have worked out an awesome build, just not enough points atm)
Have you done playthrough 2?
The enemies don’t just increase in health.
I started True Vault Hunter mode but then all my friends stopped playing so I didn’t continue either. I will continue however when the new DLC is released (still need to finish Captain Scarlett too) and when one of those friends starts gaming again on Monday when he finishes his Uni course (he uninstalled everything so he wouldn’t be tempted to play only to youtube and 9gag anyway 0_o).
And I have tried different builds on one or two different characters and not only did I not notice a meaningful difference in the play patterns of different skill trees (except for getting rid of that god awful Thoughtlock skill) I haven’t even noticed that large a difference in the playstyles of the different characters. Granted i’ve only really invested into a Siren and a Mechromancer but their abilities are so fire and forget (except possibly the Gunzerker) that they don’t affect things that much imo.
Maybe i’m expecting too much what with games like League of Legends giving me different champions that play completely and utterly different to most other champions in the game.
Well BL2 is an FPS , so the more obvious comparison would be something like call of duty or battlefield.
At least compare it to a game that has a singleplayer campaign with a story and such.
Just incase you weren’t aware – Greenman Gaming has the BL2 Season Pass for $27.99 ATM
Remember ppls even with the level cap there is still the Badass Rank Challenges. Not only are they an achievement but you get to up your stats as well (yay an achievement that is finally worth something to your character).
Its keeping me occupied anyway…..
