As a die-hard fan of the Alien franchise and shooters that preferably involve aliens, I am indescribably excited for Aliens: Colonial Marines. And I am looking forward to playing it with my friends. So this trailer, featuring Survivor multiplayer mode is very exciting.

Hmmm, watched it in 720p, i really hope thats a bad encode or the wii version , cause it looks like ass…
Here’s hoping for a survivor mode where the marines can actually win! i.e. actually escape. Waves and waves of incoming aliens with no exit point meant you were destined to die with no chance to win. Survivor modes in previous Alien games have been lacking the incentive to play with that looming and impending death.
Getting good feelings about this…
Uses Unreal Engine 3 I’m pretty sure, which is why it’s graphical fidelity is at such a level. (Console optimized engine!)
Aliens vs Predator wasn’t exactly a graphical power house either, but it did at-least feature Tessellation.
All I want is Eyefinity support and I’ll purchase it. :)
Also, am I the only person that gets a little bit of stutter with embeded video on this website? With a Core i7 3930K @ 4.5ghz it should handle simple video with ease…
Using amd with crossfire turned on while watching the vids?
There are a few known issues with firefox + amd in crossfire and flash video/players.
I had to turn off hardware acceleration in firefox to fix it personally.

The game should have been released over 12 months ago and has been through development hell, its no surprise that it looks dated.
I get a stutter too, it freezes for half a second every ten seconds or so. Happens on a few sites but not all.
It already sucks. It has lame non-canon aliens, a lame non-canon plot, and it should have been released about 4 years ago.
The 365th Colonial Marines Recon Patrol doesn’t back down. We’ll be waiting.
