Can't hurt to try, right?

You guys like PC gaming, right? And you’re probably excited about the next installment in the GTA franchise, right? Wouldn’t it be great if it were coming out on PC?
Well, don’t get your hopes up, but there is a petition going to try and convince Rockstar to release on PC. Started by one Mike Julliard, the petition has reached nearly 45,000 signatures in just over a week, with their first 10,000 overnight. While this is just under half of the required signatures, the counter has gone up nearly a thousand names in the time I’ve been writing. There is definitely some inertia behind this one.
But what will this mean? 100,000 people say they want a game, but will all this petition signing make a difference? Well, there’s a chance. As Julliard points out in his first post on the petition, Dan Houser has said that they will go wherever there is a market. “We can do what we want wherever there’s the appropriate business opportunity and chance to find a market.”
So while there is no official word as to whether Houser is watching with bated breath, there is every chance that this will be the impetus Houser and Rockstar need to release GTA V to PC. Either way, there is no hurt in trying, right? Houser isn’t going to see the petition and say, “WELL. No chance of GTA V on PC now, suckers!” So give it a shot, sign your name, be the change you want to see in the PC gaming world.
