Zombies coming to Sleeping Dogs in first full story-based DLC

Sleeping Dogs

By on October 15, 2012 at 12:08 pm

Under Section 39 of the Video Games Act, it is now illegal to have a game that doesn’t at some point feature zombies or the undead. Sleeping Dogs, having ridden to success on the back of a thoroughly un-zombie-related gaming experience, is now trying hard to make up for this shocking oversight with an upcoming DLC pack named ‘Nightmare in North Point’.

The new horror-themed DLC aims to “explore other aspects of Hong Kong Cinema”, telling the story of a former Triad member who is resurrected along with an undead army. Wei Shen, presumably on break from his regular gig, heads over to North Point and beats the snot out of them using his new ‘Lightning Fists’ ability — which he gains from drinking magical tea — and slashes them up with a peach wood sword.

Get busy with traditional Chinese zombies come October 30. In the meantime, if you’re still not sold on Sleeping Dogs, why not cast your eyes across this review?

Sweet, martial arts and zombies, good mix.

Awesome, Sleeping Dogs has been really lacking on additional content. I got 30 hours out of it upon release and thought it was going to be one of those games that I would play forever due to how fun the gameplay mechanics are, but once you run out of stuff to do that makes an impact ingame, the game sucks. Can not wait.

I need to get back into this, i put it aside since GW2, Borderlands 2 and now Dishonored came out.

Just what the gaming industry is missing – zombies in games!

More sleeping dogs is a good thing, but zombies… meh

Hmmm, no mention of flying amongst trees (or light posts in the urban jungle I guess) or paper with magical writing on it that can explode stuff… what sort of a chinese zombie game is this?
