Meet the Green Team in this new ‘Buddy’ trailer for Of Orcs and Men

Upcoming buddy cop, er, I mean, dark fantasy RPG Of Orcs and Men will feature two characters, the big strong melee type, Arkail the orc, and Styx the sneaky goblin. This leads to much comedy relief and innuendo in an otherwise dark and violent fantasy world. Check it out below, really, it speaks for itself.

Butcher of Bay harbor? Sergeant Doakes better be a cameo boss then…

I did not know about this game, and now another thing to add to the wishlist :)

I’m not so sure. The animation doesn’t look terribly sharp to me, in quite a few parts of it. And some of that dialogue seems awfully, well, crap. Not to mention that orc’s design is pretty awful – he’s just too bulky and big. They got his core ‘sort of’ right, but those arms are so huge that he looks deformed. He doesn’t look like a scary killing machine in the videos, he just looks big, heavy, slow and dumb, and unable to lift his arms past a certain point.

That being said, I wouldn’t want to fight him myself. But if it was someone who ‘could’ fight, all that massive brawn wouldn’t help much if he has to turn completely around to look behind him at all (considering his muscles go past his eye level) and the size of his arms creates vast blindspots. Big or not, a sword in the guts and up to the lungs would slow him down.

Then again, I am being completely daft and applying real world stuff to a fantasy game, so shame on me.
