
According to the latest podcast from Major Nelson, the beta for Medal of Honor: Warfighter‘s multiplayer mode will go live at the end of the week. The beta will be exclusive to XBox 360, and will drop on October 5, according to the game’s senior designer Ben Jones.
The beta will feature a new multiplayer mode called ‘HotSpot’ wherein players will have to attack and defend random locations in the Sarajevo Stadium, in Bosnia. Those who participate in the beta will also receive an 60 minutes of double XP in the multiplayer mode of the full game.
Medal of Honor: Warfighter is out on October 25 in Australia, for the PC, XBox 360 and PS3. Note that if you pre-order the Limited Edition of the game, you will receive ‘The Hunt’ Map Pack for free.

The HotSpot mode sounds similar to Hot Sweep from the previous Medal of Honor and the mode King of the Hill from a lot of other games.
