Dead Island: Riptide will launch in Australia on April 26

The next installment of the Dead Island series has just been given a release date: Dead Island: Riptide will be launched on April 23 in the US and Canada, and April 26 everywhere else, Australia obviously being included in everywhere else.

The sequel to 2011′s zombie shooter will add a new character, a new setting and a darker plot that the creative director sat down to talk about over here — and you should check out the game’s CGI trailer (bring a box of tissues) over here, too.

Much sooner then the december 2013 rumours I heard, though you’d think they would include Aus in the earlier US/Canada release schedule given the geographical setting of the games ;(
