Chris Roberts reveals stretch goals to aim for in Star Citizen

Star Citizen

As you may have already heard, Star Citizen has reached its minimum financial goal to fund the game. But there are three weeks left on the clock and pledges are still pouring in, so what are we aiming for now? Well, Cloud Imperium and Chris Roberts have answered this gaping void of direction with stretch goals! Stretch goals that they describe as more fun, and more community-oriented. There are stretch goals for the Kickstarter fund, and there is a separate but cumulative set of stretch goals over at the game’s official site.

At the moment, we are heading for the $750,000 stretch goal, which will give each backer a repair bot of their very own. The overall stretch goal, sitting at $2.5 million, will add another flyable ship — the Anvil Gladiator — to the game. So! Now is where I start telling you to get out your wallets and pledge to make this game an even greater success.

It’s also worth noting that, after polling the community to find out whether it was what they wanted, the independent funding on their own site has been extended by ten days to match the timing of the Kickstarter fund. So both timers will now tick down at the same time, on November 19.
