This has always been a problem for the greater part of the last decade though. I remember I started running LAN competitions with a friend because the only admin we had left in the state for Counter-Strike left – and it was a case of if we don’t do it, there won’t be any comps to play in.

Being an admin is a really, REALLY boring job. It takes a special kind of person to be able to play but still make the correct decisions as an admin – few of those exist. But if you don’t let the admins play, chances are they won’t admin at all, so it’s a tricky situation.

Providing there is governance around it (which perhaps there isn’t currently) I personally don’t see an issue with it.

I presume you mean Counter-Strike competitions since more than twice that number regularly show up to every BarCraft.
