Spoiler Warning! Plot summary for Mass Effect 3′s Omega DLC discovered

Aria T'Loak

We heard recently about BioWare’s plans for the future including new Mass Effect 3 DLC that will be called ‘Omega’. Now, after a bit of searching, it’s been discovered that the DLC’s plot and some text files are already present on disc.

It should be made clear that it is only text files that have been discovered and no other content — so make of that what you will, in terms of the on-disc DLC debate.

Massive spoilers follow! You are warned!

Seems as though Aria T’Loak has been evicted from Omega, as we know from the original game, by the Illusive Man and Cerberus. Now Aria wants Shepard’s help to get it back, coming face-to-face with, and possibly murdering Mass Effect 2 character Zaeed Massani along the way. Complete the mission, and you’ll unlock yourself a supply of Eezo for the war effort. Here’s the plot summary from the text files:

Aria tells you that Omega is now under a blockade from Cerberus. Since a direct attack didn’t work, Cerberus is now trying to starve Omega into submission by blockading supply ships coming in through the regular Omega relay. The level’s appearance will change to reflect this – the Afterlife has gone quiet, the music is off, the flashing lights are gone, maybe a soup kitchen has taken over the dance floor. Aria requests that you steal into the blockade and board the command ship. Take down the blockade so Omega can be resupplied.

As punishment for breaking the neutrality pact, Cerberus launches an attack against Omega. The enemy is attempting to destroy Omega’s shields, which will allow asteroids and meteors to smash into the station. You must repel the assault and ensure the shield remain operational.
