Rocksmith PC pre-orders available, include beta access

Steam has opened pre-orders for Rocksmith, Ubisoft’s music game which requires a real guitar – but, on the upside, actually teaches you how to play it. The PC version is currently in beta ahead of a mid October release, and pre-purchase gets you instant entry.
Unfortunately, on top of a guitar, you’ll also need Ubisoft’s proprietary converter, the Real Tone Cable. Although these don’t seem to be widely available at retail, you can grab one directly from Ubisoft’s Australian online store, and there are probably a few floating around for import.
