Pre-purchase PlanetSide 2′s ‘alpha squad’ deal for instant beta access

PlanetSide 2 is running a promotion where you can join the ‘Alpha Squad’ and get instant beta access.
The $39.99 buy-in includes not only access to the beta (and the full game) but also $39.99 worth of in-game currency to spend on weapons, items or whatever takes your fancy.
Also included is an exclusive camo set which you can apply to vehicles, weapons and armour, to show everybody that you were in Rico’s Roughnecks Alpha Squad.
Oh, and there’s also a six-month 10% XP and Resource Boost, which is nice. Although we’re still awaiting word on when official Australian servers will be available, there’s nothing stopping you from buying in now and playing on European servers to whet your appetite. Enjoy!

I think deals like this will help the game more than relying on micro-transactions alone, which is good for both the developers and players.

As a long time PS1 player I have had BETA access for a while now….

its a shame there is no aus beta servers yet, oh well back to US west!
Is there any more news on that Aussie server? It was never official was it?
Aus servers have been confirmed and will be coming out after the game officially launches.
