First megaserver to hold all East Coast players.

BioWare have commenced testing on the first of their new megaservers: a single server that contains literally every player on the U.S. East Coast. The new megaservers are designed to increase population density, with the eventual aim of retiring the individual servers that make up the current East Coast player base.
At the moment they’ve simply created a new Public Test Realm, which has all East Coast characters currently copied across to it. If you play on the East Coast servers, you’re being encouraged to change your server selection to “High Population Server Test” when you log in and then jump onto the new megaserver to help stress test it — although BioWare warn they are not currently providing customer support for this server, and that “any naming conflicts are not reflective of the actual consolidation experience”.
There is currently no word about how this move will affect the Australian servers. SW:TOR is heading free-to-play this November.
