Guild Wars 2 re-opens digital sales, releases live-action trailer to celebrate

Guild Wars 2

If you’ve been waiting for the digital gates to re-open after ArenaNet suspended digital sales of their game to prevent overflow, then your time is now! Sales of the game through the official site have now resumed, and new servers added to cope with the load.

To celebrate, ArenaNet have released the live action ‘Our Time is Now’ trailer and it’s, uh. It’s certainly something. I reccommend you watch it for yourself and certainly, as the lovely Ms. Hillier of VG247 points out, do try not to be confused when you realise it’s not a trailer for The Secret World.

Hey guys, can you at games.on.net please put up the game file on the file servers? I see you had it there previously, but the file is inaccessible and I think, out of date too!?
Cheers…

I downloaded, installed and played GW2 last night without any issues after downloading this file :)

Worked a charm!

I’d recommend not buying to anybody considering it until they have some proper working security measures in place. Everything they have to keep your account secure simply comes up with errors, from e-mail validation to automated recovery (in case your password is compromised and changed). The game is awesome mind you, but there’s a huge risk in wasting all the time you spend in game with the lack of security and amount of account hacking that is going on atm.

At the moment they don’t even have an account restoration feature in the game, so if you are unlucky enough to get your account hacked like I have, even when you do eventually get your account back after a week or more of waiting in the support queue (if your ticket is not somehow lost all together), you will still have permanently lost everything that was stolen/deleted anyway.

Whenever I do get a reply and eventually get access to my account returned, I won’t be playing again anyway until they at the very least get the e-mail validation system to work properly, simply due to the risk in losing any progress I make all over again.

What the hell were they thinking with that video *facepalm*

Well fuck my what.

you dun choked arenanet
