You might remember a couple of months ago, there was a bit of an uproar about the lack of female playable characters in Aliens: Colonial Marines. Well, it turns out that when producer Brian Burleson said at E3 that there were no female characters, he meant in the E3 demo.
Randy Pitchford has told Kotaku that there are female characters in the game, but he was not ready to release the details yet. There will be warrior women in both co-op and competitive multiplayer, and they will be as fully customisable and have as many personalisation options as their male counterparts.
I, for one, am relieved, as I am looking forward to recreating my beloved Vasquez and standing as close to the screen as possible and putting my head on her virtual shoulder. Oh, Vasquez, I miss you so. TMI?
