Dead Island: Riptide trailer wants to make you sad all over again

Sadface

Ack, right in the feels! My fragile, fragile heart! This new Dead Island: Riptide trailer may not be as effective as the original viral video, but it’s still more than a little heart wrenching. A couple, and Australian couple, I note (see the flag?), are vacationing to their local Zombie Island, when their boat, somehow, is overrun by zombies. As sad as it is, I can’t help but feel they might have given up a little too soon. I’ve seen enough zombie movies and played enough Left 4 Dead to know when it’s time to give up, and that ain’t it. Maybe I’m wrong. Tell us what you think.

You won’t fool me again Dead Island!

And that is why they shouldn’t put concede in dota 2.

Haha, its the music that does it. Replace that backing track with benny hinn or something and watch the lulz ensue.

Derp, benny hill*

When it first started I was like, “what’s so good about this”

Then the camera panned out and I was all like “awww….”

nukejockey,

Yeah slight difference between “How Great Thou Art” and “Yakkety Sax.” lol

Yep, yet another emotional trailer. That advertises yet another mindless enemy fragfest backed by cringe-worthy fake Australian accents. I love theses guys idea of advertising.

Haha yeah – I just watched this for the first time in a uni lecture so had the sound off – was borderline lame :P

Such a pity because their trailers are amazing – they should be making a survival game, kind of like the Telltale Walking Dead series but more open world.

Dead Island was fun but so disappointing after the awesomeness of the trailer.

Yeah, the trailer for the first game was fresh, sad and absolutely did not represent the actual game in terms of mood.
And god, those accents were atrocious.

Another sad tragedy that could have been avoided if only they knew about the mystical healing properties of energy drinks.

The makers of the trailers should just go to making informative Public Service Announcements, with the wealth of realistic survival tactics presented in Dead Island :D

what were they thinking anyway? they knew that people got really mad about the first trailer because the game had almost no content of similar feeling. why would they do it again?

It did get a lot of media attention, probably trying to use the same thing to get it all again I guess
