Good news and bad news on this Monday morning: the good news is that the Broken Sword Kickstarter has successfully finished well past its funding goal, pulling in $771,561 of the $400,000 required. Unfortunately, this still $230,000 short of the $1 million that was needed to greenlight Beneath a Steel Sky 2.
Still, at $771,000, the game will now include restored director’s cuttings, exotic locations in North Africa and the Middle East, and one backer inserted into the game with their name and likeness. Which is nice.
Broken Sword: The Serpent’s Curse is expected to be delivered in April of 2013.
