“In patch 1.0.5, we will be fixing a bug with Trail of Cinders that is causing the rune to deal five times more damage than intended,” writes Blizzard’s Lylirra on the Battle.net forums. Although Blizzard have known about the bug for some time, they wanted to give players fair warning and allow them to enjoy a little bit of OP before shutting them down.
“While this bug was discovered very quickly after 1.0.4 released and is capable of being hotfixed, we didn’t want to move forward with the fix without giving players proper notice,” the post reads. “We also know that players are having fun using Trail of Cinders in their builds, so — although this is an important issue we want to address — we’re opting to wait for the next client patch to make any adjustments.”
Fair warning is hereby given, then. Get cinder-trailing while you still can!

Not as OP as those 3 initial skills that allowed people to blitz Inferno? They were hotfixed pretty quick. I haven’t played in months so don’t know how powerful this new skill is, maybe there just isn’t enough players left to take advantage of it :p
so they constantly hump the monks into the ground without even an offer for dinner and a movie, but the deon hunters get ‘fair warning’ ….. oook.
Zzzzzzzzzzz
It’s a pretty major bug atm. Trail of cinders rune does 1500% weapon damage over 3 seconds, which is crazy insanely OP. It’s not a “nerf” as you might say, its a bug fix.
dam , i use it for my dh , didnt know it did so much damage lol i still get owned either way.
