As you may well have picked up, Assassin’s Creed III takes place in a very volatile time in American history. Specifically, its birth. The people of the American colonies sought to free themselves of their British yoke, and in an act of defiance that would spark the revolution and eventually give birth to the United States, threw some tea in the harbour. As far as acts of defiance go, I particularly enjoy this one, because what better symbolism of getting rid of the Brits than throwing their precious tea away. And what better way to get them riled up, eh?
I digress. Here is a trailer for Assassin’s Creed III that will teach you all about this famous event, and the not-so-famous assassin-related events behind it.
