Torchlight II release date news coming this week

Torchlight II

By on August 26, 2012 at 10:47 am

Runic has announced that it’s going to make an announcement, but we’ll forgive them because this is one we’ve all been waiting for. The indie team will finally put a release date to anticipated dungeon crawler sequel Torchlight II this week, specifically on August 31. The announcement will coincide with PAX Prime, which kicks off that day and runs through September 2. Torchlight II has been delayed several times and has been in development since at least August 2010, when Runic announced it was shifting focus from a proposed MMORPG in the same universe to a straight sequel with multiplayer features. The original Torchlight released in 2009 and sold over 1 million copies; its development team includes a number of Diablo franchise veterans.

Yes please, this game appeals to me much more than Diablo 3 ever did.

Now this is something I’m looking forward to.

I am looking forward to the release of the release date at the released date.

I preordered this, I feel too soon. I saw it on Steam and got really excited. Been almost 4 months since. I die a little everytime I see “Torchlight II Pre-Order” in my list of Steam games. :(
I played the beta when it came out, not too much though, I didn’t want to ruin my experience.

Can’t wait.
About time though, been a little longer than I would have hoped for.

Hopefully it comes out within a week of announcement. Much later than that and it’ll be overshadowed by Borderlands 2

Wow! It’s been over a year since their first estimated release date. I hope that year has allowed for the game to be polished up.

No doubt it’ll avoid a few of the issues we’re finding with Diablo 3.

Yep, I hope they don’t do something as stupid as release at the same time as BL2.

FINALLY!!!!!!!!
