Rumour: Thief 4 now a next-gen title

Thief 4

According to the next issue of the Official XBox Magazine’s gossip section, Thief 4 will be released next year with the launch of next-generation consoles. CVG claims their sources also indicate that this is correct. The game has been in development since May 2009 and while the website has been dormant since its release, there has been a trickle of rumours – the latest being that Thief 4 would feature online capabilities and run on the Unreal Engine 3.

Im a bit worried with consolification of this game, but if the story remains strong and Garrett is still the main man, I’ll still probably buy it. Hope it doesnt end up more action over stealth.

Well I’m not so worried now, after DXHR turned out so well.

better have Garret and voiced by Stephen Russell.

Bloody consoles…

And what is with the “next-gen” thing? I thought it was a stupid term 5 years or something ago, it’s really meaning less when games constantly get called for next-gen when they mean the current gen and when its used properly in the case of this it doesn’t bare any meaning.

I hope it remains just like it was and no seeing through walls and highlights and other crap like Hitman is doing atm.

Unworthy King

Hrmmphh this game just keeps on dragging on…and on.
