I don’t think I’ll get back into WoW with this new expansion. The main thing I’m bored of is the grinding of end game content to try and gear up. I don’t have the time to dedicate to a guild anymore and PuG raiding can be difficult.

And yes, sub numbers are dropping, it's an 8 year old game, it shows how loved it is that so many people still play it.

I had a really great run with wow, i was playing since release (as a casual) and really enjoyed myself. I have a great deal of good memories with the game, and wish it still held my interest like it used to.

MoP is the fist expansion i have not per-ordered, and i don’t know if i will buy it. It has nothing to do with pandas or anything else, i just think that im moving on. Its a weird feeling, i don’t want to not play… But i just cant seem to want to play either. I wish i had that excited feeling i had and desire to play it like i did 2-3 years ago.

Seven years (for me) is a great run for a game. I hope it dies well, but i think even Blizzard know all good things must come to an end eventually.

If you look at it from the list of things performed recently and now with the incentive they added to the free sample segment, it’s clear that a lot is riding on pandaria…

they already know that the steam is running out, since each expansion have shorter, and shorter peak period and the last expansion did not turn the trend or even come close to their peak.

To date, nothing managed to stop the declining trend, including the last expansion so while desperation is probably not the word (yet), it’s somewhat obvious that the condition is dire enough that they have to relax the limitations and pull all the punches to slow the decline and buy more time for WoW since the other IP Blizzard have is in NO SHAPE to fill their original goal that by the time WoW loses it’s profitability, they would have other IP ready to fill in and replace it.

Nothing exciting about Pandas. The new monk class would be a welcome addition to the game, I imagine?

Not enough to get me back into the game I’m afraid. It was good while it lasted. The problem for me now is there’s such variety in MMO’s I don’t feel like I have to play wow or not play MMO’s at all which is how it was when it first came out.

Well, been so long since I played WoW. But their cinematic intro’s have always been worth watching.

I don’t think I will play again though…unless the game becomes F2P and I can get the expansion cheap.

Will it bring back the punters though? Subs continue to fall and while MoP may bring back some of them, can it keep them? New classes tend to draw back some players and they might even find enjoyment in that again and keep playing. Of course this gives me the opportunity to trademark the word “Pandtard” for it’s inevitable use in the game about the masses of Pandaren Monks that will assail the dungeons and become the new “cool to hate” class/addition.
