Melbourne studio Straight Right revealed to be working on ME3 port

Mass Effect 3 Wii U

Australia’s video game industry has been suffering lately, so this bit of pleasant news bears sharing with the world: Melbourne developers Straight Right have been picked by EA to handle the Wii U port of Mass Effect 3. The company shared the news with the world yesterday via their Facebook page, including this image of the game being played with the Wii U controller.

Unfortunately there’s still no hard word on exactly when the game — or the console itself! — will be released, so we’ll have to wait and see how it turns out. Congratulations to everyone at Straight Right and best of luck.

Awesome!

Does the Wii-U plan to be a “real” console unlike the Wii? Looking at the controller it appears to have a more traditional controller, albeit with a giant screen.

yeapal,

There is the tablet controller (pictured) and a ‘pro’ controller (which is basically a mix between an xbox and ps3 controller)

seeing the Wii U makes me wonder why Nintendo didn’t pursue using the DS as a controller on the Wii. Sure it kinda flopped on the GameCube with the GBA but that should have been awesome too..
