That’s where I am too. I’ll be playing Diablo 3 until it gets too hard for me to enjoy.

I’ve made about $19 from the RMAH but that’s in Blizz Bucks and will be going to the expansion (you know there’ll be one coz it’s Blizzard). That’s already a bonus.

If I wanted to earn money from gaming, I wouldn’t have done a Masters of Project Management over the past 3yrs.

So 8-14 hours a day (lets assume he took sat/sun off) for almost 3 months got him $10k? Not worth it.

he said he averaged 8 hours a day for 2 months, hitting 14 hours on some days. the important thing is he probably would have averaged 8 hours a day for 2 months. for the third month he said he put in a lot less, sometimes 20 minutes a day.

so let’s just say it averages out to 4hours. which is 570 hours over 3 months. that’s $17.50 an hour.

add to this the fact that he mentioned he trades on the stock market, which most likely would have been done at the same time.

so not only did he earn ~$17.50 an hour, which is waaayyy above minimum wage in America, he would be earning from stocks as well. and this is all doing something he really enjoys doing.

not worth it you say? I would say a lot of people would disagree with that.

I too wondered the time frame of it all and if he wanted to, how much he could make if he really focused on it.

The issue of the decline in the market of cause is maybe going to be the end of it…
