Mists of Pandaria gets a release date, preorder details

World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria

The latest expansion to World of Warcraft, Mists of Pandaria has got itself a release date and preorder details! And it seems like Blizzard is going out of their way to make it accessible to players. Before it releases on September 25, 2012, you can preorder either the standard edition for $39.99 USD, or the deluxe edition for $59.99 USD, both of which will be available digitally.

Or you can be indecisive and preorder the standard edition and later upgrade to the deluxe edition for an extra 20 bucks. Seems like a good deal! The deluxe edition include all sorts of in-game goodies, including a flying mount, and a pet which you will now be able to battle against other pets, Pokemon-styles. Preordering will also allow you to preload the game so you will have it all up and ready when it releases on September 25.

That is one UGLY mount.

No, REALLY.

Yes, a Fugly mount.

One good thing about Blizzard, they do not add on an “Australian tax” for their games, we pay the same as the USA.

Strategically timed to take as much limelight away from Guild Wars 2 as possible. Expect the usual media blitz. It will be a good test of how powerful WoW still is – or whether people are over it.
